Sonata Slavonica 2026. Masterclass Lukasz Kuropaczewski english

Teaching Plan:

Technique
Each morning we plan to hold a collective/group class. We will work on the technique of both hands, focusing on preparation, small movements, and finger independence. Łukasz Kuropaczewski will use his own method and selection of exercises for hand positioning, preparation, arpeggios, chromatic scales, left-hand shifts, and regular scales. We will work together with a metronome.

Repertoire

2.1. The art of practice. It is very important to work with students on how to practice. All the knowledge we acquire in the technique class will be integrated into the students’ repertoire, and we will discuss the quality of practice. I will practice together with the student, ensuring that they fully understand the principles of this method.

2.2. Interpretation. We will first address the student’s understanding of the five basic musical elements: dynamics, articulation, time, color, and vibrato. We will work on separate lines, focusing on each element individually before connecting them. We will work on style and understanding the differences in its characters.
